America’s Top 10 Cities for Food Lovers
1. Santa Rosa

Local restaurant rate: 80.9%
Population: 472,121
Wine shops: 156, or 330 per million wine shops

Santa Rosa is the largest city in California Napa Valley, a region synonymous with wine, it's given a great food for the link. What better food to make cheese in wine country? Joe Matos Cheese Factory is a local place to sample the work of one of the healthy population of Sonoma County's artisan cheesemakers. Popular restaurants are setting Rosso Slow Food Pizza and Wine Bar, Syrah Bistro, French and Cafe Chloe.

Portland can probably be named the Pacific Northwest capital-isms: locavorism (with 93 CSA farms and 56 farmers markets), vegetarianism (with an all-vegan market called Foodfight!), And considering it has 97 breweries microbrewism. (That's not a real word, but it's nicer than the other "-ism" joke we abstained from making.) Popular restaurants are Andina, Mother's Bistro & Bar, Portland City Grill, Screen door, and the evil twin to Portland local and organic virtuosity, the sacrilicious Voodoo Doughnuts. To wash down the donuts, the acclaimed Portland Stumptown coffee.

3. Burlington, VT

Population: 205,359
CSA Farms: 24, or 116.9 per million companies

The Burlington food scene is proud of its connection to locally grown and raised food, with 24 CSA farms and 19 farmers markets, not to mention the local-centric co-op grocery store City Market. Burlington's favorite restaurants include American Wrap, Penny Cluse Cafe, taste, and sustainable and market-inspired Bluebird Tavern, which boasts that they use "food grown by our friends."

This New England town has proven to offer far more than the edible attractions of the tourists look for: lobstah and chowdah. Farmers are not deterred by ruthless winters of Maine, and 26 CSA farms, farmers markets and 15 witnesses, resulting in local lamb, pork, scallops, honey and potatoes, and much more. The population of only about half million is enough interest in food Rabelais, an all-food bookstore support. Eateries of note in Portland are Emilitsa, Standard Baking Co., and Back Bay Grill.

Wine Shops: 133, or 77.6 per million

With 40 farmers markets, 35 breweries and 10 Whole Foods grocery stores, not to mention an abundance of local wines and prominent chefs, and even culinary tours, San Francisco is a foodie paradise. Eateries in the city by the bay by Boudin Bakery, home of the original San Francisco sourdough bread, and Chez Panisse, Delfina, Incanto, Range, Swan Oyster Depot, and the slow food spot Zuni Cafe.

Newcomers to the Providence should be ready to pick up some giggle-inspiring new terms: "stuffies" are hard shell Quahog clams, and New York System Weiner, also known as "plugs" are thin veal and pork Franken topped with spicy sauce. Seattle scores high in many categories foodie, with 65 breweries, 93 liquor stores, 55 farmers markets and CSA 29 companies, not to mention seafood. Tourists flock to throw fish photo ops at the iconic Pike Market (adjacent to the original Starbucks) Place, but the locals prefer to purchase fresh off the boat at Fisherman's Terminal (and some source and craft Zoka coffees). Popular restaurants are the Cuban food Paseo, the Mexican La Carta de Oaxaca, and Tom Douglas' Dahlia Lounge.


9. Santa Fe

Population: 139,921
Whole Foods: 2, or 14.3 per million

Though modest in population, this town has two Whole Foods markets, compared to only one in the last city on this list that is more than double the population of Santa Fe. Popular dishes in the capital of New Mexico include New Mexico's appropriate twist on Mexican cuisine using blue tortillas, locally grown chillies. Diners will also discover Native American, Spanish and European influences. Popular restaurants Anasazi Restaurant, Cafe Pasqual's, Jambo Cafe, and Bobcat Bite Restaurant.

Local restaurant rate: 83.2%
Population: 408,425
Wine Shops: 68, or 166.5 per million

Santa Barbara is another city with a lot of sea fish (sea urchin is a local specialty), and it also has a happy proximity to wine country. The city has a strong Latin influence as evidence in the popular eateries as La Super Rica Taqueria, Freebirds World Burrito, and others are looking at Downey's, Jane, Arigato Sushi and Brophy Bros.

America is a very beautiful country. American people is very good and very co-operative . i like America country and America people but i don't like the American food
